History: Bjørkehaug was a crofter place under Haugstad.The first to have Bjørkehaug as a crofter place was Ole Hermundson from the main farm, he was born 1763 and got married to Eli Andersdtr Nundal in 1788. They had 4 children. None of them got the place. Ola died 1828 and Eli in 1840. After them camed Erik Olson Javnåkre,born 1800 and married 1833 with Elisabeth Hermundsdtr Haugstad. Erik died in an axident in 1854. he had 6 children,amongst them the youngest Anne-Sofie born 1849 and died 1942. She was my great-grandmother. The other children was: Ingeborg born 1834 and married to Arnfinn Trondson Nundal in 1854. Cecilie born 1838 married to Aslak Toreson Hæreid in 1858. They had a place called Hagen under Lægreid. Synneva born 1840 and married to Vilken Olson Midtun, they had Torpen .Gurid born 1845 and married to Johanne Johanneson lægreid in 1872, they had Eldhusvollan, a crofter place under Nattvik.
