The first we know of here is Ola Torleivson Hestetun. Ola was born in 1798 and married in 1828 with Elisabeth Aslaksdtr Nundal. She was born in 1802. They had 8 children. Ola, born 1826, Torleiv born 1829, Aslak born 1831, Sigrid born 1838, Vilken born 1841 and Anna born 1843.Ola died in 1855 and Elisabeth in 1886 This house which belonged to Midtun is as you can see on the picture very close to the main house at Øvstetun. The house stood until 1980.
